There was a whole zoo in our house. I was shocked how I would tell this to my parents. I thought for a bit then I had an idea. I went straight up to our attic and then I had to bring the animals up the ramp. The reason we had a ramp instead of something else is because my dad is disabled and he cant walk. First I brought all of the calm animals like all the ones in the cage. When I finally got one up my dad had come out. He was nearly at the attic. I couldn’t let him see all the animals. I closed up the attic and put an old cloth over all the cages. I walked over and morning dad in a suspicious voice. He asked why there are a bunch of old clothes in your room? Nothing I said was just a school project. He said ok and wheelchaired away. I sighed in relief then continued. The dangerous animals like the lion started roaring and my dad came back at the speed of light and said what was going on. What was that? I said nothing, just an engine roaring. He stayed to watch me. The truth finally came out. I said I wished upon a star for fun but then it became true and now we have a whole zoo in our house pls dont be mad at me I didnt know it would end up like this im sorry. He said what that is the biggest lie ive ever heard but now that we have them we might as well use them and feed them. We will open our own zoo. And that’s what we did. We made our own zoo, made a living and had a nice time with all the animals. The end
Recount: A Time that I did Well
Last year 2024 in team 3 we were going to prize giving. It was at our school under Te kapua. We were doing it to congratulate all the hard workers in the school.
We left our class to go to the school prize giving under Te kapua. When we got there the whole school was there. Once everyone was there the prize giving started. People were getting their prizes. It went from team one up. When it got to the year fours they called up
from 3rd place then 2nd place then me 1st place for the school academic awards. I filled with joy as I went up onto the stage.
After I went to go see my family waiting for me. My dad gave me a milky bar. Then we had to go do our dance. The dance we were doing was one that we practised for 4 or 5 weeks. Once all of the year 4s got up on stage we started our dance. It took about 3 or 4 minutes to do.
After the dance we went back down onto the floor. When we got on the floor Mr Bert told us to turn around and look at the parents. Then we started singing the school song. Once that was done we went to go see our families again.
In conclusion I felt really happy with everything I had achieved. My family looked at me and were so proud of me. We went home and I ate my milky bar.

I was doing a task were I had to partner up with someone and write a descriptive writing for them. Then we had to read each others writing and draw a picture of it these is my descriptive writing and my partners drawing.

Our swimming lessons
We did swiming lessons and we had to write a recount about it. This is my one. I hope you like it
We started swimming lessons on Monday and it was lots of fun. I met my teacher Ciara. On Monday we learned our safe entries. At the end of the day we got to do sinky toys.
It was Tuesday and we had more swimming lessons. I had the same teacher for swimming lessons. We got to learn our starfish and our sculling hands. It was so much fun on Tuesday.
It was Wednesday and we were half way through. I had Ciara but I liked her. We did the same thing on Wednesday. Then we played sinky toys again but they weren’t sinking.
It was Thursday and it was the second to last day. We were doing the same as usual. We did not have the whole pool to ourselves this time though. We did some more sinky toys.
It was Friday, the last day of swimming and we were so excited. We got to do some fun stuff. We also did some boring stuff as well though. At the end of the day we did sinkeys and dives.

My strategy to win the game was: To go for the middle and when I was not in the middle I made it so only the middle token could move so then I could go into the middle. He won 4 out of 7.
I think that the first/ strategy worked the best because: i could keep going for the middle so I could trap him.
